Care Instructions
To keep your woven labels looking sharp for the life of the garment, follow the care instructions below:
- Washing: Turn the garment inside out before washing. Use cold or lukewarm water, a gentle cycle, and a mild detergent. Avoid hot water, bleach, and fabric softeners. Woven labels from Ninja Patches are built to last through more than 50 wash cycles.
- Drying: Air dry the garment or use a low heat setting on your dryer. Avoid high heat, which can shrink or curl the label.
Order Issues & Reprints
If you receive your labels with any production errors please submit an order issue form within 45 days of receiving your products. We will be unable to replace or refund any orders brought to our attention after 45 days of confirmed delivery by our carriers.
Sometimes we will need your assistance to get the order right, and might request a photo or further instructions before reproducing an order, so we know how to make it right! We will never ask you to return products before we have an approval to reproduce a damaged or misprinted order.

FAQ
Woven labels are custom fabric labels made by weaving colored threads together on a loom, so your logo, brand name, or text becomes part of the label itself rather than being printed on top. They are the thin, smooth labels you find sewn into the collar, hem, or seam of quality clothing, and they give apparel, uniforms, and accessories a finished, professional look.
Each label is woven thread by thread on a loom, following your artwork line for line. Because the design is woven into the fabric rather than stitched onto it, woven labels hold much finer detail than embroidery, with a smoother, flatter surface and a tighter weave.
Unlike embroidered patches, which build the design with raised thread on a fabric backing, a woven label is the fabric. That is what lets small text, thin lines, and fine logos stay crisp even at label sizes. After weaving, each label is cut and finished with the fold style you choose, ready to be sewn into a garment.
- Clothing brands: Neck labels, hem tags, and sleeve tags that carry your logo on t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and hats.
- Small businesses and makers: Sewn-in labels for handmade clothing, bags, blankets, and accessories.
- Uniforms and teams: Name, size, and team labels sewn into uniforms, jerseys, and workwear.
- Home goods: Labels for towels, pillows, quilts, and pet accessories.
Woven labels are thin and pliable, so they move with the fabric they are sewn into. They lie flat inside a collar, along a hem, or in a side seam without adding bulk or stiffness, which is why they are the standard for clothing labels.
Yes! Because a woven label is sewn into the garment, it goes through the wash right along with it. Follow the garment's own care instructions: machine wash cold with a mild detergent, skip the bleach, and avoid high heat when drying to keep the colors and the weave looking crisp for the life of the garment.
- Fine Detail: Woven labels reproduce small text, thin lines, and intricate logos accurately thanks to the weaving process.
- Durability: Sewn into the seam, a woven label lasts the life of the garment and stands up to wash after wash.
- Lightweight: Thin and soft, so they sit inside a collar or hem without adding bulk or irritating the skin.
- Versatility: Choose from a wide range of thread colors, plus fold styles to suit every placement.
- Professional Finish: A woven label is what makes clothing look like a real brand.
Woven labels are sewn on. Pick the fold style that matches where the label will go: Straight Cut for a flat label sewn around all four edges, End Fold for clean folded ends stitched down at the sides, Mitre Fold and Center Fold for hem and side-seam tags that tuck into a seam, and Horizontal Fold for a label that folds once across the middle.
Stitch the label in place by machine or by hand with a matching thread, either around the edge or across the folded ends. Woven labels are not heat applied and have no adhesive backing.
Woven labels offer a distinct and tactile way to brand what you make. Their fine detail, soft feel, and durability make them the go-to choice for clothing brands, makers, and teams. Sewn into a collar, hem, or seam, custom woven labels turn a plain garment into a finished product.
